In Barcelona, there are over 500 religious buildings spread throughout the city. Here we can see the Santa Maria de Sants church, located in the Sants neighborhood.
In some neighborhoods like El Camp de l’Arpa del Clot, there are a few walled up buildings still squatted in. They will be demolished or renovated according to the current city plan. (The dots on the facade are black-painted ants.)
The makeover of the Meridiana is an ongoing project. We can see here one of its iconic buildings located in the El Clot neighbourhood section.
In the La Salut neighborhood, a few steps away from the Park Güell overpacked with tourists, there are quiet streets full of charm.
I have not been back to the Parc de l’Espanya Industrial since its renovation last June. It is located in the Sants neighborhood.
The Sala Beckett, located in the Poblenou neighborhood, is much more than a theatre. I just love its café.
The title of this 1934 sculpture by Josep Dunyach i Sala is “Confidències a la platja”. I do not think that in those days women would go around naked on the beach. The statue can be seen in the garden…
La Font de la Guatlla is a small and quiet neighborhood full of charm. It is part of the Sants-Montjuïc district.
The Parc de Cervantes, located in the Pedralbes neighborhood, is famous for its roses.
