One of the enchanted gardens of Barcelona is the “Jardins del Baluard”. It can be accessed through the Portal de Santa Madrona located at the back of the Museu Marítim. This gate and the high walls are the only remnants of the defense structure which surrounded the city in the Middle Ages, and which have been preserved in their original state. We can see here the stairs leading to the watch tower.
