This is not a beach. That blue area is not the sea either. It is not the sun that is rising or setting in the horizon. You will find this abstract landscape in Can Ricart, an old textile factory of the Sant Martí district which is being totally refurbished.
If you come to Barcelona, don’t miss the church Santa María del Mar, also referred to as the Cathedral of the Sea.
Here is a picture of the Bogatell beach at the end of the day when all the tourists are gone. It is much more pleasant than at 12 noon!
There are so many people on the beaches of Barcelona right now that at times I wish we were back in winter when there is virtually no one on the sand.
Barcelona is situated in a privileged location. Its coastline is a succession of harbors and beaches. Here we can see the beach of Bogatell.
Beach cafes have reopened, and tourists try to find some time in their busy schedule to take a dip in the big blue. From Badalona to La Barceloneta runs a string of “chiringuitos” which offer just the drink and the background music you want.
