The modernist train station Estació de França is a beautiful combination of glass panes and metal beams. It shows all the nuts and bolts that previous architectural styles preferred to hide. This approach stresses the structure of the building which, like gothic cathedrals, points towards the sky. We see here the pendulum of its great hall.
