In the 16th century Barcelona was one of the most important textile production center. During the industrial revolution the city consolidated its position as a leader in the field, and was known as the “little Manchester”. Today, almost nothing remains of this glorious past. A small number of factory buildings have been kept intact and rehabilitated into another use. Here you can see a symbol of the textile sector placed at the entrance of a revamped industrial facility.
